Woke up with sharp stinging sensation, found and killed 4 blood-filled bed bugs, found 2 others crawling around. Headed downstairs now to show front desk.

I booked this through booking.com and the photos, star rating and reviews online were very deceiving. We checked into this motel October 6, 2018 and it was nothing like the photos or star rating as it was run down. Booking.com is non-refundable so we felt we were pretty much stuck with having to stay there. We were only there about 4 hours and as we lay in the bed watching we saw a bed bug crawl across our sheets and another on the pillows. Upon crushing them blood stains were left on the sheets. We immediately took off pillow slips and pulled back sheets to find several more crawling in the pillows, under the sheets on the mattress, etc. Found more blood on the linens. We quickly brought it to the attention of management, checked out and asked for a refund. The staff was co-operative in giving us a full refund but they were not at all shocked nor apologetic about our finding bed bugs. In fact they didn't even come to inspect the room and as we were loading our car, they came back with a bottle of pesticide spray. It was quite obvious they were aware they have a problem but it seems they just hope their guests won't discover it.
