Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

On October 13, 2020, I checked into the Fairfield Inn, room 136. Around 2:10 A.M., I got up to use the restroom. When I returned to the bed, I found three fat bed bugs in the bed I had been sleeping in. I also found another bed bug in the other queen bed that was in the room. I obtained photos and also called Victor at the front desk. I also delivered a live bed bug in a cup to Victor at the front desk. Victor put us in a different room, #104, on the opposite side of the hotel. The next morning, Mark, the manager, stated that he was going to have an extermination company clean the room. I had to call Priceline to get my money refunded for the room. My girlfriend who was with me suffered approximately 40 bites to her arms and legs, although oddly I cannot identify a single bite on my body.
