Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

Stayed at Sage Inn July 2016 and at the bottom of the mattress I noticed there were black spots all around I lifted the mattress and it was infested with bugs..my family and I checked out made sure we shook out all out clothing and checked our luggage before loading back into car. We let the front office know they said they would have management look into the room.

Date of stay: October 2023 At the time of this writing, the Sage Hotel (formerly Sage Inn) has bed bugs. If that’s not bad enough, they also had no hot water. For a hotel with bed bugs, they also did not offer much of a discount, just a small portion. Room tip: I will never go to this hotel again, but if you do, I would ask if they have had any bed bug issues in the last month or two.

2/24/24 Two adjoining rooms 290 and 291 in Building E Upon settling in bugs were present as well as dead ones, crawled on person reading in bed, at least 5 seen. Also a dead one on night stand. Called office who sent maintenance, yes bed bugs, he also confirmed they were present in other buildings on property in past. We checked out immediately, never spent night there thankfully! Update 2/28/2024: We left without spending the night. With our pajamas on. Maintenance came and said yes leave. Now hotel charging credit cards.

Noticed bedbug bites on my shoulder and torso on the day following my stay, and I did not have these bites prior to my stay on 6/5/24. I informed management, no refunds. Many reports of bed bugs at the Sage Hotel in Santa Fe New Mexico!

How to get rid of Bedbugs at home

If you find bedbugs in your home you should remove as much clutter and as many items as possible from your house. Replace all bedding and examine the box spring for bedbugs.
