Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn, Cherokee, NC on the night of June 14, 2019. In the night I got up to adjust the air and as I did my sister felt something bite her. We pulled the blankets back and found a huge bedbug crawling in the bed!! We immediately went to the desk and he offered to â€œgive us some new sheets.â€ That was unacceptable as we had already decided we were leaving the room. He did comp our night. The front desk attendant was very unconcerned with the problem. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again!! Please be aware if you stay here and look everywhere!! This was the King bedbug that we found. When we got home we unpacked everything outside and as we were shaking out clothes, we found another one!!!!!! BEWARE!!!!
