I woke up this morning to discover I had bites all over my neck on both sides, my ear lobe, my lower cheek, my hand and all over my bottom. I knew immediately it had to have been bed bugs. I called the front desk politely asking to change rooms as I am scheduled to stay here for another day. Staff said they would send someone over to inspect the room. An hour or so later hotel staff came to inspect the room and sure enough found bed bugs under the sheets on the fitted thick sheet that goes over the mattress (sorry i don't know what it is referred to as) they then said they would change out all the sheets for me. Im not sure how that is suppose to be enough. I asked to switch rooms, I am almost positive bed bugs can live on the actual mattress it self and changing sheets does nothing. Front desk didn't bother calling to apologize or at least give me a refund. I have painful itchy bumps all over, most are visible and I have a wedding to attend this weekend. I have never sen such horrible service or etiquette in hotel staff anywhere. Also, when they left one of the house keeping member came back, and didn't bother knocking, she literally swung the door open while i was standing there in my underclothing. I kind of screamed and even then she didn't apologize for not knocking and just entering.
