9/14/2017 Please beware, I stayed here against my better judgment and came home with bed bugs The hotel did refund my stay and paid for my first treatment only stating "we checked and we have no problem so we are not responsible for any future treatments you may need"! Previous to my stay I had seen reviews for bed bugs & dirty room. I called and expressed my I was assured that they did not have any issues and it had been years since they had first had an issue and that they take every measure now to prevent this. I wanted to give it a try my family was looking forward to this trip. Stayed in the Maryland building, first I was given room 720. I inspected very well as I do at any hotel (any hotel even a 5 star can get bed bugs its how they treat it & approach the issue that matters but I will get to that as well.) The room was dirty, sheets, mattress and mattress covers all had stains on them. I did not see any bed bugs or typical bed bug marks but I was not taking a chance and literally not sleeping on the filth they called a clean bed. So I called down to the front desk and said " I am not satisfied with my room, its dirty and their are marks on the bed" NO QUESTIONS LIKE OH IM SORRY WHATS WRONG OR LET ME SEND SOMEONE TO SEE - they just said ok we will send someone to meet you at room 729. I was shocked, I mean I guess they knew the room was dirty or there was a issue with the previous people? I didn't know but I was praying I was being over dramatic and agreed to see the next room, I had driven 7 hours from New York with my kids, and all they wanted to do was have fun not follow mom around the hotel looking at dirt. So on to 729 we went, again dirty sheets, dirty sheet covers & mattress. I was so upset and now my kids were upset. They offered to change all the bedding I agreed and prayed for the best. Day after we came home I noticed bites on my daughter had a pest control service come right away and we had bed bugs in my daughters room, 2 suitcases and our trunk! We had to throw out her mattress all of her stuffed animals all her bedding and endless sleepless nights ! To top it all off the “wonderful” staff were RUDE insisted we did not get them from them and now I am left to pay for the rest of our treatments on my own! DO NOT STAY HERE PLEASE!!
