Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

We checked into the hotel on July 23, 2017 at around 5 pm. We did a bed check immediately and found two bed bugs underneath the mattress of one bed and one bed bug underneath the mattress of the other bed. The area underneath the mattress was also otherwise very dirty. I took the bugs to the front desk and was told that they were only fleas and that this was highly unusual. I am familiar with what fleas look like as I have pets and I know that these were not fleas. I also referenced photos online. I was offered another room but instead asked for a refund (which was granted without question) and booked a room at different hotel. I did notice as I was leaving two housekeepers go to the room to inspect.
