Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

We stayed here recently and it was awful! There was a hole in the corner that was active with rodents and my husband and I both left with bed bug bites on our backs, necks and arms. I am terrified that some may have gotten into our bags and come home with us, so we are taking preventative measures to ensure we do not have an issue in our home. I will be reaching out to the hotel in hopes that 1. they are unaware of the problem and 2. they address it immediately!

Bed bugs found and reported July 24, 2016. Looks like this was already reported in May as well and still has not been resolved. Will be requesting a refund and reimbursement of expenses.

My family stayed in Room 134 of Econo Lodge in La Crosse, WI Saturday, 07/23/2016 and were severely bitten by bed bugs. Live bugs were found on the mattress under the sheets. One person ended up needing medical attention due to the reaction from the multitudes of bites. This was reported to management immediately Sunday morning. A later search online found that this same room was also reported having bedbugs on May 19th this year. We believe the hotel is continuing to fill this room while aware of the bedbug problem in this room.

we stayed 6 days, my son stayed in room 117. My son just came to me (2 days after leaving LaCrosse) complaining of itching. I discovered welts that look like bed bug bites all over his torso. He has also been complaining of other areas itching. There were definite cleanliness and maintenance issues in my room (118) that required staff attention but my son didn't complain of anything wrong with his room. Unfortunately, we are 1300 miles from La Crosse now so there is little We can do about it now.

If you find bedbugs in your home you should remove as much clutter and as many items as possible from your house. Replace all bedding and examine the box spring for bedbugs.
