Checked in to my room on September 20th,2018 around 1am and fell asleep right away. At around 5am, I woke up to this itch feeling over my body and found a bedbug underneath the pillow. I immediately viedo taped the bug with room number and captured it in my plastic water bottle. I called the front desk manager ans she said bedbug is everywhere just like we are breathing air, its just not visible to us. I asked for my belinging replacement since I suspect my stuffs ate infested by bedbug and I wasnt planning on bringing my stuff back home. GM of the hotel emailed me and said he’ll file a insurance claim and never heard from him for 2 months. Meanwhile, I discard all my stuff before I walk into my house. I called the GM and other managers at the hotel and left them several messages but never got any responds from them. Finally GM emailed me and briefly gave me insurance adjuster’s name and contact information. I emailed and call the adjuster but he also wont return my call or email. Few days later he emailed me back with wrong name and address saying my claim is denied without explaining why and asked me to go file a claim with my home insurance. I sent the emails to Hilton VP’s and everyone, they aren’t helpful either. Hilton daytona beach oceanfront resort.
