Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

We had made reservations online for 2 rooms. thru priceline for Knights INN, Michigan City. Went to the office and they gave me a different room. Let's just say it had bed bugs to. Asked for a refund and they gave me my money back. What really upset me and my family is that acted like they knew and didnt even care. It was on 12/31/2018.

I found a bedbug and caught it in a container and took it to the owner of the hotel. He came to the room and sprayed some store bought bug spray and that was it. I stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks. Within those 2 weeks there were at least a dozen people who told me their room was infested. One customer was given a new room only to find d begs in that room as well. The owner uses a room on the 300 side as a heat room. He takes beds into the room and turns the heat up in order to kill the bedbugs but it didn't seem to help. The cost of a room is decent but the bedbugs cause the stay to get very expensive. The owners are very nice people. I think they are just overwhelmed with the bug issue and not sire what to do.
