I had to leave at 1:30 am because my daughter found a bedbug embedded on the bed spread, I evacuated from florida and drove 14 hours so we decided to google a hotel and found this one along 95. I spoke with night clerk simone and I told her I was leaving because I was disgusted with bugs in the bed and I was not going to be able to sleep. she even gave us extra trash bags to put our pajamas because god forgive I carry your bugs into my car. nonetheless I had to sleep with my kids in the car at a rest stop after arriving at the hotel just a few hours earlier. I spoke the next morning with someone and he reassured me that I was going to receive a refund for the room which is 142 dollars so I waited a few days but got no refund. I have been calling, leaving voicemails and no one cared to call me back. today the same, three calls and no response so I spoke again with front desk clerk and I ask to speak with the manager on duty since she informed me the person i spoke before to would not be in today. the person on the other line was was rude, said i was lying and that she was not going to refund my fare. I told her i had pictures and a video of the insect and she said she did not care what I had, she was not going to give me any money, she remarked that she spend over 20k in bedbug covers and that she had no other complaints of bugs, well, I had one in my room and was huge so she should check again what her rooms look like. you will find a link to the video I took at https://youtu.be/zUeBvmgtkgc. It is a shame that after the ordeal we went through, driving so many hours trying to escape hurricane Irma we are now treated this way, shame on this person whom has no knowledge what so ever about what hospitality is.
