Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

We had to stay here on the way to New York because we needed to stop and all other hotels were sold out and now we know why. We inspected the bed and did not see signs but when we woke up the next morning one of the people in one of the two beds was bitten. When we reported it to the person on duty she suggested these were flea bites and doubted this. This of course was frustrating and degrading. Being pet owners we knew the difference between flea bites and bed bug bites. She suggested it was fleas instead since the hotel allows dogs. After we showed her the PATCH of bites, she said she would reimburse us later and call us to let us know it had been taken care of. We have heard nothing back after 8 days. Do not stay here unless you want eaten alive by bed bugs!
