Bug infested bathroom. Didn't even stay long enough to look on the bed, but the sheets had holes in them with hairballs. At least 30 bugs (big and small) in the bathtub and around the toilet. An army of them for all to see. I certainly was not going to sleep there knowing there is an army of bugs. I could not even shower or use the toilet. I immediately told the front desk and they did not flinch, as if it was all normal and didn't even go see for themselves. No apologies, just offered my money back. They did credit me and I left. Only to find out afterwards they double charged me. I called the hotel back and they insisted they did not double charge and the charge would fall out of pending. Well it did not. Sneaky much? My bank immediately reversed the double charge. 2 days later - Super 8 re-ran it AGAIN. Bank reversed it again. Waiting for a call back from the Indian owner, not expecting their honesty or cooperation and cancelling the card. Complete fraud to boot on top of the bugs! We literally walked into the room and right out!!! This place barely had any guests, which is unusual for any hotel in the evening. Wish I knew beforehand! Sounds like Waterboro is just one nasty town!
