Well, we are not happy campers at all!! Saturday night we stayed at a Super 8 In Bloomfield New Mexico. While int he bathroom I saw a lil bug that looked like it might have been a tic. I picked it up with toilet paper and flushed it. Didnt think anything more about it cept h ow odd a tic would be in a motel room Well, yesterday on our way home both of us started noticing welts that were itching. We thought they were mosquito bites since we had both been outdoors the night before. As the day went on, the welts got bigger and bigger, started to get painful, the itching got worse and worse. I did not some research and the bug that I thought was tic was a bedbug and what we are experiencing is bed bug bites!! I noticed on Travel Advisor that other popek complained about them to so i called the motel. The lady told me that someone probably just brought them in the night before. Eh, WRONG, i told her judging by the severity and how many bites we have, they had been there awhile. And we slept in two different beds Then she wants to know why we didnt report it that day as the bites show up immediately. Again, I told her she was wrong and that they can sometimes take a day or two to show up. THEN, she tells me, oh my we just had THAT room treated too! Oh dear lord, so they knew they had bed bugs and tried lying about it She would only offer 1/2 our money back. Check out reviews before you stay. They arent always correct but when someone mentions bed bugs, RUN!!!!!!!!!
