My wife and I checked into the Super 8 in Boone nc. on Thursday October 20 2016.we were assigned a room on the second floor ,as we approached the room 2 dogs began barking in the room beside ours .we entered the room and the room smelled like dogs we than called down to the desk and asked to be moved to another room.they assigned us another room and we went down stairs and exchanged keys with the front desk.we were assigned room 324.I awoke on Saturday I noticed 5 or 6 red welts on my left lower arm.I first thought of red bugs but we were nowhere to get red bugs.on Sunday I awoke to discover 5 or 6 red welts on my right arm and back.On our drive home sunday I began to wounder if the bites might be bed bug bites, my wife googled bed bugs and the bites appeared to be consistant. I had a Dermatoligest appointment on Monday the 24th.and the doctor confirmed the bites were bed bug bites, he perscribed a cream to apply twice a day and said it would take one to two weeks to go away,he also said i would see more bites the next day because of a delayed reaction to the bite .the next day I have a total of about 30 bites to both arms and my back.my wife called the motel and spoke to the manager(Sonya Newberry) who confirmed there were bed bugs found in the room by her own inspection and said she would refund all our money for the 3 night stay and offered discounts at their other motels on our nexy visit to the area. we have not seen a refund yet, we had to throw away our suitcase,pillows and travel bag,when we arrived home we threw our clothes in the dryer for a while and then washed them and dried them in the dryer again, I was to return to my job on Wednesday but am to embarresed because of being in the public eye because of my job I called in and took the rest of the week off hoping that the bites will be gone by Monday
