August 11-13,2017 room 503. My mom and I stayed at the Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey hotel for our family reunion. I woke up Saturday morning with 6 bites on my right arm and hand and 2 bites on my left hand and wrist. At first I thought it was mosqito bites. On Sunday morning I woke up feeling like something was biting me. I told the staff and nothing was done. When I got back home to Atlanta and unpacked my bag I found a bedbug so I contacted the exterminator and had to have them come treat my home for 3 treatments as is required for bedbug treatments. I contacted the hotel and told them what was going on and their insurance company told me they could not reimburse me for my cost to exterminate because they did not find any bedbugs in my room. I then wrote a letter to Starwood which is corporate and they were apologetic and said they would look into refunding me. But the hotel manager told them to have me call him and he would take care of everything. That was all a lie. I contacted him and he said to give him 3 business days and he would rectify the problem. After the 3 business days he told me that there was nothing he could do because the insurance refused to reimburse me. I was livid. This is unacceptable. I also saw on this website that another person was bitten by bedbugs in room 534 the same floor I was on back in 2016. This hotel have. Debug problems and they need to be closed down until they fix this problem. They also need to compensate customers who are being subjected to their bedbug infestation. Very annoyed and angry!!!!
