Tue Dec 5th: bed bugs spotted crawling on pillows. Reported to hotel staff and was immediately offered a refund and assistance finding another hotel in the area. I’m very please with their response.

2/28/2019 130am scratched arm and felt bug. Caught it live and took pictures. Moved to another room waiting to hear from management in the morning. Front desk clerk try to imply I brought them with me from a plane ride. Explained I drove here from home and did not have them. Stay out of this hotel

It was in the end of july(26-28) this year 2019. I was staying at this location in a double queen room with my partner and was bitten in my room Friday night around 7pm(I swell up and get big welts so I notice really quickly). I caught the bug, kept it in a cup then stripped and searched the bed/mattress again using a black light. I couldn't find blood spots, dried blood(bug dirt), or other signs of activity. we made a judgement call to stay that night in the other bed hoping I had just picked up the bug elsewhere in the hotel since we didn't find another. it also turns out that house keeping/ everyone but the front desk person had left for the night already by the time it got down to it. They got to us at around 10am Saturday, they swapped out the bedding and pillow covers took the bug and left us some plastic bags to put all of our stuff in. We were at this location due to an event in the area that weekend that runs late and we didn't want to have to drive back and forth all weekend. well I got bit again Saturday night which launched a second search. We caught one on the headboard and two more on the other bed. One I kept on a piece of tape to show the person at the front desk when we checked out early...3:30am early, and the other two I popped when I folded up the tape. I left a message at the front desk for a manager to call/contact me. they didn't, I called back(which is hard to get anyone on the phone since the operator is the only line that gets you a person the first time then they transfer you to the front desk regardless of the time) they said that the manager had left (only in 7am-3pm). I asked that they pass a message along to have the manager call me when they get in Monday. they didn't, I called the hotel at around 12:30 Monday and was told that the manager had left early that day. I asked again to be contacted and they said ok. I ended up emailing the hotel chain and they promised the manager would contact me within 48 hours... they didn't. I emailed IHG again after 72 hours and was promised they would resolve it within 24 hours. that was also a lie, IHG then said they don't interfere with day to day operations so I would need to follow up at the hotel..... so long story short I was bitten in this hotel because the hotel hasn't killed off the bedbugs that are most likely nesting behind the headboards and the hotel managers has fumbled at every turn to resolve this situation.... it's still not resolved
