Checked in 5/31/17 for a 10 night stay during the early hours of 6/2/17 my son woke crying & in the morning we both have had bites, on our legs, face and my son had bites to his arm also I thought it was Mosquitos. I had already decided to leave the hotel due to lack of cleanliness & checked out 6/4/17. By this time my son's bites were worsening so I took him to a pharmacy & pharmacist asked if we were staying at a hotel as we been bitten by Bedbugs. I immediately contact the hotel but the GM was not in so made a follow-up call the next day 5/6/17 and told the GM of what I had encountered during my stay there but he maintained that the health Dept would not find any evidence of bedbugs & as such would conclude that I had bought them to the hotel myself ! (FYI: I travelled to Charlotte on Virgin Airways international flight from the UK and came straight from the airport in a taxi to check in at this hotel!) The GM Mr Chet Patel said he would call me back the following day once he had spoken to his Team. He called me back today 6/6/16 stating that he had checked my room 313 himself there were no bedbugs which i disputed and he then told me that they cannot be seen with the naked eye! and the Health Dept have special equipment to detect them but they would not find any. I requested for him to compensate me for my 4 nights stay and his response was to laugh as there was no evidence and he point blankly refused, I terminated our call at this point.

I arrived in Charlotte on Wednesday​ 5/31/17 from the UK to visit my dad and I booked into the Comfort Inn - Room 313, for a 10 night stay as this hotel is nearby to my dad's home. During the early hours of Friday 6/2/17  my son awoke crying complaining his legs were itching & in the morning I discovered that we had both been bitten on our legs, faces and my son had bites a on his arm also by what I thought was Mosquitos but could not figure out how they had got into our room as the windows do not open. On Friday I laundered my duvet set and dirty clothing  & in the  afternoon I  visited another hotel across the road from Comfort Inn (CI) but they could not accommodate us until Sunday 6/4/17, so that is when I checked out from the CI. My son's bites to his legs had developed water blisters and were really red and sore so I visited a CVS pharmacy & on inspecting the bite wounds the Pharmacist asked me if we were staying at a hotel as my son had been bitten by Bed Bugs. As I had already checked out of the CI, when I returned to my new hotel  I called to let the General Manager (GM) know but he was not on duty so told to call the following the day and I spent the most of the day washing everything I had. I part pushed  the mattress off the bed I slept in and on the base I saw dark colored bug which appeared to be dead which I took a picture of and I inspected the sheets inside the bed and they had a bloodstain on them - I pictured this also. I returned a call on Monday 6/5/17 to the GM at CI,  to report the Bed bugs in Room 313. Despite two conversations regarding this he refuses to acknowledge that my son & I had been bitten by bedbugs at his hotel as he had personally checked this room himself and did not find any and even went so far as to imply that if the Health Department undertake an inspection & no evidence of bedbugs are found  they will  conclude that I must of have bought them into the hotel.  I informed him as,  aforementioned that I arrived in Charlotte on Wednesday 5/31/17 on a Virgin Atlantic flight from the UK and from the airport I boarded a taxi directly to the Comfort Inn, therefore I am unsure how that could be possible?
