We initially had room 124 but after finding cockroaches and feces we were moved to room 112. Upon sitting on the bed I received a red bumpy "rash" on my arm. Shortly following my 1 year old found a pull under the bed. So considering all we checked out and came home the same day. Since then we have all been being but in legs and arms and now have to have our home treated

I checked in on Friday September 14, 2018, I thought it was a I was given room 129. Later that evening I started itching around my left ankle and noticed a bite mark. I thought it was a mosiquto bite and thought no more about it. I awoke on Saturday September 15, 2018, went for breakfast and upon returning I noticed a black spot near the pillow and it looked like it was slightly moving. having never seen a bed bug before, I picked it up and yes it was moving. I put it in a clean coffee cup the room had, took a picture with my phone and googled bed bugs images, and that's exactly what it was. The hotel moved me to room 113 because the entire Hershay - Harrisburg area was totally booked due to the RV Show, Hershay Park Festival and hurricane Florance evacuations so I was stuck. Management totally unresponsive and the front desk person I reported it to had made No Notation of the bed bug incident so the situation could be addressed. Crazy!? I still have the picture of this bug I drive a truck and my truck was in the shop, so I was stuck, so don't think this was a setup or scam

I recently stayed a this facility on Friday Feb 8th and Saturday Feb 9th 2019. I woke up Saturday morning with a couple bites and thought it was maybe a spider bite but Sunday morning I woke up completely covered. It has been a horrible experience. I went to the front desk and they were upset as well. The manager came in and took one night off of my stay. I just wanted out of there. Since that day I have been to the doctor ,had to receive 4 medications for infections, had to replace equipment on my cpap machine, completely have my home treated for bugs that were brought home. This has been a nightmare. I have filed a complaint and sent pictures to the cooperate office of Whyndam that is head of this Howard Johnson. They told me that they sent my complaint to the Howard Johnson and that I would hear from the owner directly. I have heard nothing and have called to the Howard Johnson multiple times every day for a week and no response. He is just ignoring me. I also overheard the front desk and the manager that say that they need to do something because this is an ongoing problem. This building in particular should be shut down. They are in the process of remodeling and it is in complete disray with black mold visable everywhere, debris all over the place and filthy rooms.I expect to be compensated for at the very least what I have had to pay out of pocket. I am very upset at the total disrespect they have for their patrons.
