I stayed in room 224 from May 29 to June 2, 2019. The first day of my stay I had itchy bites all over my hands, feet, and back. I assumed I had gotten into bad chiggers because I had been walking my dogs in a big field the day before. My boyfriend had not gone with me to walk the dogs but was staying in the same bed, so I thought it had to be some bug bites I got in the field. Each day I had more bites and didn’t know that some people never show any bites at all when bitten by bed bugs. If I had known that, we would have switched hotels promptly! On the final day, I woke up with bites on my face. At that point, I realized it had to be bed bugs because I have never had any normal bug bites on my face. As I checked out, I told the woman at the front desk that I was quite sure there were bed bugs in that room. She assured me that a manager would call me. When I got home, then itching was so bad I visited the doctor who confirmed they looked like bed bug bites and prescribed oral steroids. The manager had still not called, so I called the hotel again and the front desk woman said that the manager refunded one night of our stay. I told her that was an unacceptable answer to me and I wanted the manager to call me. He still has not called.
