Monday, March 27,2017 Woke the next morning and had breakfast and went to my training class. Evening – had dinner on the backside of the Hampton Inn with all of my fellow employees attending training. Went to sleep. Tuesday, March 28 Woke that morning itchy and saw red bite marks all over my body. Had no idea of what had happened. Showered and went down stairs for breakfast and asked others if anyone had been bitten from the last night or while we were out having the dinner party and they all said no and asked me what had happened since the bites on my arms were visible. I went back to my room and looked in my sheets and saw a few small splotches of blood. Looked up on my phone about bites at night and bed bugs came up and I read the information and there seemed to be a correlation. Went downstairs and told the girl at the front desk that I was with a group attending training in the area and that I had been bitten by bugs during the night and that no one else in my group had been bitten. I told her I must have been bitten by bed bugs and that I want another room when I return after my training. She said she would have a new room for me when I return. Went to work and was very itchy throughout the day of training and told my supervisor that I wanted to go to an occupational clinic and have the bites looked at. We were told which clinic to attend by the Staff. Arrived at the clinic at around 6 pm and saw the doctor. He asked be what I was bitten by and I said that I thought it was bed bugs. He looked at the bites and I received two shots for the itch and Antibiotics to prevent infection. He also gave me a prescription for a crème to kill the bugs that may be on me or in my clothes. Was to told to immediately wash my clothes in very hot water before I put them on again to make sure the bugs are dead that may be in my clothing. Doctor game a prescription indicating to wash my cloths to give to the Hampton Inn. I asked for it because I thought they should at least what my clothes. Left the clinic and went to CVS and picked up the prescription and some Hydrocortisone for the itching. Got back to the Hampton Inn and different girl was at the desk. As I explained to her that I was bitten by bugs in the room I was in and that I wanted another room. She stated that they were full and that they had no other rooms. I got very upset and stated that I told the girl in the morning about this and then she stopped me as I was talking and then she gave me the new room that the morning girl had said that she would have waiting for me. I also told that girl that I need her to have all my clothing washed in very hot water and that it needs to be done before 6 am in the morning so that I can go to work. She says: I can’t wash them and there is no one else her. We argued awhile over this issue. I then asked for the Manager and she said the manager is gone. I said for her to call the manager. She was refusing. I said you are going to call the manager or I am going to have the biggest review on their website stating how poor their customer service is and how I was bitten by the bed bugs. She did not seem to care. We argued some more and she finally called someone and when she finished with the call she said I can call the dry cleaners and see if they are open and I said that would be good. She called and spoke to them and said that they can clean them but could not verify they would be done by 6 a.m., I got upset and said that the clothes need to be washed tonight and must be done before morning. She said I can give you the quarters and you can wash them yourself. Another woman walked up behind me and the girls said let me take care of the woman behind you and I stepped aside with an upset countenance. The girl finished with the woman and she gave me the quarters and soap and asked for large garbage bag to put my clothes in, I also asked for a bathrobe since I will be washing all of my clothes and that I have nothing to wear while at the washing machine and walking to my room. She said she did not have one. I was so mad. As I got ready to leave for my room the dry cleaners showed up and said they can get them done before 6 a.m. The dry cleaner man and I walked to room 308 to collect my clothes and as I tried to open the door it was very difficult to open because a towel was up against the door on the inside. As I pushed harder and got through the door I saw the room had been emptied of everything except the furniture. The furniture was away from the walls and the box spring and mattress were gone. My clothes were not in the room. I said to the dry cleaners man that my clothes must be in my new room. We went to my new room 203, and inside I found all of my items. I asked for him to wait as I disrobed and I placed all of my clothes in the large bag for him to take. I said that I forgot to get the 3 items out of the closet in the room upstairs and wash them also not thinking to look in the closet of the new room. He went upstairs and never returned. I looked inside the closet in the new room and there were the three items. I called down to the front desk and asked if the dry cleaners man had left. She said he had. I told her that I have 3 more items up here that need to be washed and I did not want to argue again with here and asked if she could bring me the quarters and the soap so that I can wash these items. She showed up at my room and I received the items and thanked her. I washed my items and holding a towel around me that barely covered me as I walked back and forth from my room to the washer down the hall. The dry cleaners man showed up about an hour and half later with my clothes cleaned in a bag. I thanked him and he left. I went to sleep. Woke up several times during the night feeling itchy and feeling as if something was biting me, put more itch cream on – Checked the bed and nothing was there. Dreamed throughout the night of being bitten by bugs and waking up. Through out this entire ordeal, no one with Management of the hotel came to ask how I was doing or if they could do anything to help my stay be more enjoyable. Left leg had swelling due to the bed bug bites on my shin and very difficult to stand for any duration or walk for more that 30 feet with out removing wait from that leg. Very painful.
