Woke up at 6:15 because my husband found a bedbug one his arm. We reported it to front desk and they gave us a new room. Went back to old room and saw the underside of the mattress and it was covered in every corner plus I found a small one. The one we found was large and according to the head housekeep (aka the expert) it was a male. I told her about my subsequent discovery and she told me the room would be treated. Mgmt only gave us one free night (we are staying for 3). I told them this didn't seem fair for the inconvience we had to go through (two little kids had to be moved very early etc) and what we will have to go through when we get home so that we don't bring them in. It took a complaint to HO to finally get an apology from a mgr after 8 hours but that was all we got. Everytime I called mgr he put me off to the "expert" and wouldn't even tell me if we would be covered if they infested our home. First this was beyond disgusting to find in your bed and secondly to keep brushing us off is not a good way to handle it.
