Checked into Hilton Scottsdale resort and villas on 6/9 and checked out 6/16, a 7 night stay. On 6/14 noticed red bug bites to left leg and both forearms. 6/15 am - Notified Jeff at the front desk and attempted to show him the bites and he immediately stated “oh we don’t have bedbugs” so I requested to be moved to another room. Moved to room 157. 6/15 went to Urgent Care for treatment for bug bites and erupting hives indicating an allergic reaction to the bug bits. 6/15 - late night bug bites worsened on both arms, hands, legs, back and neck were extremely painful and went to front desk in tears, the clerk said her manager would be in at 07:00 6/16. Went back to room and took Benadryl and ibuprofen hoping for some relief. Went back at 07:00 6/16 and at 07:40 spoke with Leticia who stated she was the Supervisor and showed her both the bug bites and pics of the bug bites also ink like stains on the sheets in the room commonly associated with bedbugs. There was a pic of what appeared to be a bedbug on the sheet. Requested a full refund for my stay and inquired about notifying the health department to which she stated she would be speaking to her manager and “following their steps.” She stated they would have staff inspecting the rooms. 6/16 11:40 - spoke with Hope with guest services to lodge an official complaint and was put on a conference call with Leticia Supervisor. She stated she had spoken with her manager and they were waiting for a company inspection on both rooms 161 & 157. 1:15 6/16 - Spoke with Kira Manager who stated she had housekeeping clean the room and linens had been changed and housekeeping did not find any bedbugs. State she would contact me after the exterminator completed the inspection. 17:07 6/16 - received voicemail from Kira manager station the inspection was completed and they did not find bedbugs. 11:45 6/17 - Spike with Kira manager who stated per the Western Company report there were no bedbugs. Reminded her the room was cleaned at her request by housekeeping prior to the inspection and she said “there would still be signs and the did not find any signs of bedbugs.” She stated she was unwilling to refund my stay and I requested the contact for corporate.
