My wife and I booked this room online. We were planning to get up early and go to see the giant sequoias the next day. We checked in that evening and took our luggage to our room. I first notice hair and dirt in the bottom of the room's hot tub. In the bathroom there was additional dirt in the floor. The towel rack was not properly stocked either. We went to sleep around 11. At half past midnight my wife woke me saying that something was biting her. I turned the lights on and about a dozen small bugs fled, heading for the box springs. I grabbed a water bottle and captured one of them. We packed up our suitcases and loaded them up. I went to the front desk. The night manager promptly refunded my room fee. He mentioned that someone had said they had bedbugs before but that "We never did see any of them." I gave him the bug that we captured and I showed him the pictures we took. I emailed the manager the next day and he did not respond. I sent him pictures of the bugs and the welts on my wife's skin. I emailed him again when I returned home. He finally responded and said that he was having the room (not the entire hotel) treated. The entire hotel room was dirty. They charged a premium because they were so close to the park.
