Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

my wife and i stayed in the holiday inn express Costa mesa Oct. 17th Sat. and Sun. the 18th. when we arrived it was very late and we had been travels all day . we went to room and when wife opened door she immediate saw a big bug (she thought was a cockroach.She called down and told the night clerk that we though it was a cockroach though now we think it was a bed bug. Later we got into out new room and she took a shower and we got in bed. next day she had a red bloody bite on her leg and i too had been bitten. We have never encountered a bed bug infestation so we did not immediately know that is was infestation. Our son pick us up on the 19th and took us to another hotel but we stayed at his apartment with luggage and know he has been bitten more then 50 times!!! he needs help getting rid of these bugs and we are now home in Washington. we left our luggage outside and are afraid to unpack!!! Please refund and help with my son by getting exterminator !! Sincerely Jon Cates
