We stayed at holiday inn express fultondale Alabama on the night of September 14 2021. The place looked clean and I stay with the IHG group of hotels back home for work travel. On the morning of September 15 myself and family woke up and the wife and kids attended breakfast. IGH does an excellent job of providing a great meal for breakfast. While my son was laying on bed watching TV my wife noticed something crawling on the blankets. It was a giant bedbug! We then freaked out because those are a pain to get rid of once they attach to something. We thankfully only bring in one bag when we stay somewhere. We found two bed bugs upon a quick inspection of the room. Inside the hide a bed was trash, old food and a hair pin. We instantly grabbed all of our things and left. We took one bed bug and gave it to the front receptionist. She said I’m so sorry sir we will have it inspected at notify you of the results. I said I already know the results you have bed bugs in room 319. We left and the manager called us about 20 min later via telephone. The manager said they will have it inspected. About 1 hour later the manager called back and said well the room was clean. Then said and I quote “are you sure they didn’t just come from you?” I was furious! They were completely rude and then billed us 161$ for a bedbug filled room. Once my wife woke up about 3 hours later she complained of itching. It was then we noticed she had 4 bites on her body. They were swollen and itchy. We took pictures of all the bites. This location of IGH is a joke.
