I was in the hotel for 3 days. The first day I was there, before even sleeping in the bed, I went to the park for a bit to read. The next day I noticed I had a bite on my arm. I assumed it was from a moquito or something from my time at the park. I worked all day that day and when I was laying in bed trying to go to sleep, I noticed I was absentmindedly scratching at my right shoulder. I felt around and felt some bumps, looked in the mirror and there was a huge patch of red with white, raised bumps all over my shoulder blade. Thinking the mosquitoes got me more than I originally though, I put some hydrocortisone on it and went to bed. I woke up the next morning with even more red bumps all over my right arm. I was starting to get concerned and I did some research on various biting insects in Missouri (I'm from Florida so they were a bit different.) One of the options was bed bugs. I did all the searches around the mattress and under the bed but I didn't find anything. I came back after work and was sitting in the bed when I noticed something move on the bed sheet. It was a frigging bed bug. I saw 2 others and was able to kill on and get a photo and video of the others before they disappeared. I called the front desk and they were very apologetic and moved me to a different room for my final night in the hotel.
