Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

2 Jan 2019, room 220 lay in bed and itching began and then got worse. Multiple spots on my body itched and small round bumps appeared. I arose, got my flashlight and began examining my bed. Small, brown, flat bugs of several sizes, around an apple seed size, were crawling on the pillows and under the blanket. I immediately captured one bug, called the front desk. I gave them the example bug, they assigned me another room and I moved. Still carrying some itchy raised bumps.

I stayed in this hotel for a week. I have woken up every morning with unusual itches. On my 2nd day, early in the morning, a dark bed bug fell off my neck onto the room table shortly after I woke up and sat at the table. I travel frequently and this is the first time in 10 years I have visually seen a bedbug in a hotel. This was also the dirtiest hotel I have been to. The carpet had small black loose lint-like half inch items on it that that could be kicked around with my shoes on (hence a vacuum should have been able to pick them up). There was also some hair on the bathroom floor and tub. The room carpet also had large red stains on it.
