Friday, November 2 My daughter checked in with her sports team. I got a phone call from her at midnight that she was awoken with many bites and after googling them find out they were bed bug bites. As her other teammate was asleep she slept in long clothing on the top of the bed all night. In the morning they offered to switch her to another room for the next night. No suggestion of refund or other compensation -- considering she had to buy itch cream and plastic trash bags for your luggage. They said they'd clean the room but were already working on the first floor where they knew they had bed bugs!!! Why shouldn't a hotel be required to close down and completely fumigate when there are reports and evidence of bed bugs. Completely unacceptable to let guest just stay 'in hopes' that the room is free of bugs. Don't stay here!
