We stopped here during a drive from west Texas to Florida in October, 2015. We hit bad traffic in Louisiana and didn\'t arrive until after midnight. I had read reviews online that said that all of the carpets had been replaced with tile flooring, which made me a little suspicious. I sent my husband in to do a bedbug check, and he came out of the room about ten minutes later with a terrified expression. The beds were covered with what looked like waterproof mattress pads (the kind for kids who wet the bed), and he had pulled them away to check the mattress itself. When he did, a bunch of dead and some still-wiggling bedbugs fell to the ground. It was the same with both beds. He took me in to verify, and they were definitely bedbugs. We looked them up on our phones and discovered that they were about three months into their lifecycle. The man at the front desk refunded our payment and immediately went to inspect the room, but we were too distressed to find another hotel and slept in the car.
