Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

I am a professional entomologist and specialize on insects that affect human and other animal health. On September 11, 2015,we checked into the Days Inn and after about an hour in bed noticed bed bugs on the sheets. We caught 4 adults and squished two nymphs that had just fed on our blood (the blood stained the sheets red). We notified the front desk, put all our belonging into large plastic, sealed bags, took showers and left the Inn.

Adult bedbug found crawling on pillow two hours after check in. Had not yet unpacked and immediately requested refund and left. I should have checked this website before booking.

We found a round, flat, red bug on our bed sheets at 11:30 pm on Oct. 7, 2017 right before going to bed. It matched an online picture of a bed bug. We decided not to spend the night and informed management we were checking out. They did not offer a refund and told us we were free to leave.

2019-02-09 I stayed at the Days Inn Bloomington, Indiana last night. Room was not clean to begin with but noticed a bug crawling across the bed. I picked it up and google an image of a bed bug. It definitely was. I figured 1 bug would not kill me so I stayed. Woke up the next morning really itchy and saw more bugs in morning. I brought 1 to the office, which the owner was there. He kept saying everything was new in the room. He clearly did not want to listen and take a complaint.

How to get rid of Bedbugs at home

If you find bedbugs in your home you should remove as much clutter and as many items as possible from your house. Replace all bedding and examine the box spring for bedbugs.
